Abstract

INDONESIA Rasionalisasi agama menjadi diskursus paling menegankan bagi kalangan agamawan atau rohaniwan, karena mereka sendiri belum siap menjelaskan berbagai ajaran agama dengan pendekatan nalar. Agama dalam pandangan umum diterima secara apa adanya karena alasan wilayah iman. Pandangan dogmatis dibalik iman perlu dicoba analisa ulang secara akal, sebab al-Quran mengingatkan kita untuk tidak taklid meskipun dalam hal akidah. Al-Quran merupakan guideline utama umat Islam selalu mengajak umatnya berpikir rasional dibalik teks suci dan juga tanda-tanda kebesaran Allah di langit dan bumi. Tuntutan ini sejalan dengan semakin rasionalnya manusia abad milinium ketiga yang akrab dengan kultur saintifik rasional pragmatis dan rekayasa sains yang terus berkembang. Tuntutan ini patut direspon sama dengan rasionalisasi pengajaran agama di lembaga pendidikan Islam yang tengah hidup dalam era global, meskipun sebagian kalangan menentang rasionalisasi agama dengan alasan wilayah iman atau gaib dan berada pada ranah hati. ENGLISH Rationalization of religion became the most stressful discourse for religious circles or clergy, because they themselves are not ready to explain various religious teachings with a reasoning approach. Religion is generally accepted as it is for reasons of the area of ​ faith. The dogmatic view behind faith needs to be reanalyzed logically, because the Koran reminds us not to be treacherous, even in matters of faith. Al-Quran is the main guideline for Muslims to always invite their followers to think rationally behind the sacred texts and also the signs of God's greatness in the heavens and the earth. This demand is in line with the increasingly rational third millennium human beings who are familiar with pragmatic rational scientific culture and scientific engineering that continues to develop. This demand should be responded to in the same way as the rationalization of religious teaching in Islamic educational institutions that are currently living in a global era, although some people oppose the rationalization of religion on the grounds that faith or the supernatural is in the realm of the heart
