Abstract

ENGLISH The Qur’an has a very vital and respected position in Muslim societies throughout the world. Aside from being a source of law, moral guidance, guidance of worship, and doctrine of the faith, the Koran is also a source of civilization that is historical and universal. The primary function of the Koran as a holy Kalam is a guide to action for readers who believe it. Other functions, however important, must not forget this primary function. To what extent are Muslims aware of the function of the Qur'anic civilization? This paper seeks to explore substantively, philosophically, and theo-spiritually the urgency of the Qur'an as a trigger and a trigger for civilization through a socio-perspective study INDONESIA Alquran memiliki posisi yang amat vital dan terhormat dalam masyarakat Muslim di seluruh dunia. Di samping sebagai sumber hukum, pedoman moral, bimbingan ibadah dan doktrin keimanan, Alquran juga merupakan sumber peradaban yang bersifat historis dan universal. Fungsi primer Alquran sebagai Kalam Suci adalah pedoman tindakan bagi para pembaca yang mengimaninya. Fungsi-fungsi lainnya, betapapun pentingnya, tidak boleh melupakan fungsi primer ini. Sejauh mana umat Islam saat ini menyadari fungsi peradaban Alquran tersebut? Tulisan ini hendak menelusuri secara sosio-historis posisi penting Alquran sebagai pemicu dan pemacu peradaban
