Abstract

INDONESIA Hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan upaya penguatan kompetensi guru melalui pemanfaatan media sederhana dan modern. Media pembelajaran memiliki peran strategis dalam mempermudah guru menyampaikan materi pembelajaran. Untuk dapat memanfaatkan media, dibutuhkan rasa ingin tahu, jiwa inovatif dan kreatif. Dalam proses pembelajaran, guru bisa menggunakan media pembelajaran baik yang sederhana maupun yang mahal. Guru dapat membuat media dari barang bekas atau bisa juga dengan pemanfaatan media berbasis computer melalui program powerpoint. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Ponpes Daaruttayyibin dengan model Partisipatory Action Research (PAR) yang dilakukan dengan 5 tahapan kegiatan yaitu; (1) orientasi, sosialisasidan FGD; (2) pelatihan pembuatan media dari barang bekas; (3) Pelatihan pembuatan media dari media powerpoint; (4) pendampingan; dan (5) monitoring evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan membuat media pembelajaran dari barang bekas dan power point memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap pengetahuan dan pengalaman serta meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam mendesain media pembelajaran. ENGLISH The results of this study aim to explain efforts to strengthen teacher competence through the use of simple and modern media. Learning media have a strategic role in making it easier for teachers to deliver learning material. To be able to use the media, curiosity, innovative and creative souls are needed. In the learning process, teachers can use both simple and expensive learning media. Teachers can make media from used goods or can also use computer-based media through PowerPoint programs. This research was conducted at the Daaruttayyibin Islamic Boarding School with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) model which was carried out with 5 stages of activities namely; (1) orientation, socialization and FGD; (2) training in making media from used goods; (3) Training in making media from powerpoint media; (4) assistance; and (5) monitoring evaluation. The results showed that the training made learning media from used goods and power points had a significant impact on knowledge and experience and improved teacher skills in designing instructional media.
