Abstract

INDONESIA Dalam tulisan ini penulis ingin mengkaji psikologi dan komunikasi massa yang bermuara pada nilai-nilai kehidupan masyarakat, baik secara individu maupun kelompokdalam berkomunikasi. Manusia secara hakiki adalah makhluk sosial, karenasejak lahir manusia membutuhkan pergaulan dengan orang lain untuk memenuhi kebutuhan biologisnya, seperti makan dan minum. Adapun proses upaya manusia untuk mengenal berbagai macam stimulus atau informasi yang masuk kedalam inderanya, menyimpan, menghubungkan,menganalisis, dan memecahkan suatu masalah berdasarkan stimulus atau informasi tersebut, maka psikologi telah lama menelaah efek komunikasi massa pada perilaku penerima pesan. ENGLISH In this paper, the writer would like to investigate psychology and mass communication which empty into values of social life both individual and group in communication. Human is truly social creature because, since borne, human needs intercourse with other people to fulfill biological needs, such as: eating and drinking. Then process of human effort to know various kinds of stimulus or information comes to his/her senses, saves, connects, analyses, and solves the problems based on the stimulus or information, so psychology long time ago analyzed effect of mass communication in behavior of message receiver.
