Abstract

This presentation aims to explicate specialized fraction division knowledge (SFDK) of a primary prospective teacher (PTs). The case study reveals the complex structure of the knowledge and insights that mathematics educators could equip the PTs with the knowledge, for example, by focusing on identifying the episodic situation of a word problem.
