Abstract

Abstract This study was designed to describe in real terms on the condition of the link and match Higher Education by Non-Bank Financial Institutions Sharia Sector’s (IKNB Syariah) in Mataram, including to find out the strategy of higher education in increasing links and matches and to anticipate the occurrence of mis-links and mis-matches with the needs of the business world, especially for Non-Bank Financial Institutions Sharia Sector’s (IKNB Syariah) in Mataram. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) Mataram State Islamic University. This research data collection method uses observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires distributed to respondents consisting of students, alumni and the policy maker along with several relevant external stakeholders. The analysis shows that in general the internal conditions of FEBI UIN Mataram supports the creation of links and matches with the needs of the workforce, but the current conditions still require good improvement strategies related to aspects of human resource development (HR) both students, workers instructors (lecturers) and administrators managing their management, in addition to adequate infrastructure (facilities and infrastructure) support and internal policies of the institution, particularly those related to the aspects of partnerships with external stakeholders. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Abstrak Penelitian ini didesain untuk mendeskripsikan secara riil tentang kondisi link and match perguruan tinggi dengan sektor Industri Keuangan Non Bank (IKNB) syariah di Mataram, sekaligus untuk mengetahui strategi perguruan tinggi dalam meningkatkan link and match dan untuk mengantisipasi terjadinya mis-link and mis-match dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam (FEBI) Universitas Islam Negeri Mataram. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan angket yang disebar kepada responden yang terdiri dari mahasiswa, alumni dan pemangku kebijakan beserta beberapa stakeholder eksternal terkait. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kondisi internal FEBI UIN Mataram mendukung terciptanya link and match dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja, namun kondisi yang ada saat ini tetap membutuhkan adanya strategi-strategi peningkatan baik yang terkait dengan aspek pengembangan sumber daya manusia (SDM) baik mahasiswa, tenaga pengajar (dosen) maupun administrator pengelola manajemennya, selain dukungan infrastruktur (sarana dan prasarana) yang memadai serta kebijakan-kebijakan internal lembaga, khususnya yang terkait dengan aspek kemitraan dengan stakeholder eksternal.
