Abstract

INDONESIA Zakat is an instrument in Islam that is widely used to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. This research aims to strengthen zakat in the context of development in Indonesia by integrating it with the concept of regional autonomy. To sharpen the study, the concept of maqashid al-shariah is used as a tool of analysis in the discussion. The method used in this research is qualitative by taking the context of existing policies in West Nusa Tenggara. This research offers the concept of banks in the management of zakat. Banks are an intermediary institution that brings together the interests and needs of the rich and poor.
