Abstract

ENGLISH This research aims to test the reliability and validity of the motivation to learn online questionnaire (MLOQ) by adding an analysis related to the evaluation of the psychometric characteristics of the test instrument, namely the differential item functioning (DIF) test. DIF uses to measure the bias that affects the validity, DIF also uses to test the fairness of an item of a test instrument in different groups. The MLOQ validity test carries out with a cross-cultural validation step. The subjects of this study were Indonesian Islamic university students with total amount of participants were 339 students. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and identification of DIF were analyzed by using M-Plus software. Results and educational implications are described.
