Abstract

INDONESIA Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai kesulitan siswa dan upaya untuk menanggulanginya dalam Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP selama masa covid-19. Lokus penelitian adalah SMPN 2 Mataram dan SMPN 3 Taliwang, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB). Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: pertama, kesulitan belajar siswa di kedua sekolah terutama berasal dari materi pembelajaran yakni materi al-Qur’an dan sejarah Islam, kendala keterbatasan sarana dan media gadget, serta hambatan jaringan internett. Kedua, sikap guru dalam menangani kesulitan siswa meliputi: peningkatan motivasi, pemberian pulsa untuk membeli kuota data, penggunaan platform PJJ yang bervariasi seperti penggunaan aplikasi Edmodo di SMPN 2 Mataram, WhatsApp di SMPN 3 Taliwang, terkadang dengan Zoom, dan Youtube. Ketiga ENGLISH This study aims to explore various student difficulties and efforts to overcome them in Online Learning process of Islamic Religious Education subjects in junior high schools during the Covid-19 period. The research locus were Junior High School of 2 Mataram and Junior High School of 3 Taliwang, West Nusa Tenggara Province. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with data collection methods including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed: first, the learning difficulties of students in the two schools mainly came from learning materials, those are the Qur'an and Islamic history, the constraints of limited facilities and gadget media, and internet network barriers. Second, the attitude of teachers in dealing with student difficulties includes: increasing motivation and giving the data quotas. Besides that, they used various Online Learning platforms such as using the Edmodo application at Junior High School of 2 Mataram and at Junior High School of 3 Taliwang, they used WhatsApp and sometimes they used Zoom and YouTube.
